It's Our 50th Anniversary!
Ground was broken on June 30 for the new recreational center. Dignitaries included government, social services and OKFD volunteers.

The Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled was founded 50 years ago by the National Council of Jewish Women through generous grant support from the Oklahoma City Junior Hospitality Club, Inc. It was incorporated in 1961, and the facility we still reside in was built in 1966.
In celebration of this milestone year we will:
- Construct a 4,000 square foot multipurpose recreational activities building to expand the opportunities our clients have to engage in exercise and other healthy programs
- Bury a time capsule!
- Establish an on-site tour program -- Community Connections -- to engage civic leaders and groups in our work
- Create a new logo for use on our letterhead, website, and as signage on our front doors and in our foyer
- Redesign our client services brochure
- Create a quarterly newsletter
- Host a special event fundraiser in conjunction withe the fall opening of our multipurpose recreational facility
