Executive Director

Georgia Devening since January 1, 2001

Prior Experience:

Georgia Devening is the Executive Director of OKFD and brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to the position. Georgia is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Accounting and was previously involved in the oil industry prior to her work with OKFD.

Georgia was a volunteer and Board Member of OKFD before joining the staff as Executive Director in 2001. Her involvement in the organization began when she started researching local services for her brother Gary, who has Downs Syndrome. Georgia, like many siblings of DD adults in our community, is Gary's full-time caregiver.

Because of her constant involvement in his life, Georgia is empathetic to not only caregivers, but to their charges. Armed with this unique perspective, Georgia, in conjunction with her active Board of Directors has guided OKFD to emerge as one of the most respected organizations assisting DD adults in Oklahoma.
